Stycast 2850FT

Stycast 2850FT is a thermally conductive, black epoxy resin designed for the protection of sensitive electronic assemblies. It is the go-to solution for components such as power supplies, motors, and high-wattage sensors that generate significant heat and are subject to thermal shock.

The “FT” in the name refers to its Flow-Thru properties; while it is a highly filled material, it is engineered to flow effectively around components to eliminate air gaps. Its primary strength lies in its exceptionally low Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE), which ensures that as the device heats up and cools down, the epoxy expands at a rate similar to the internal components, preventing mechanical failure or cracking.
