Stycast 2850MT

Stycast 2850MT is a two-component, blue epoxy encapsulant engineered for general-purpose electronic protection where thermal management is a primary requirement. It is distinguished by a slightly grainy consistency—a result of the specific filler size used to achieve high thermal conductivity and superior thermal shock resistance.

This material is particularly recommended for high-voltage applications (such as transformers and bushings) where surface arcing or “tracking” must be prevented. Its low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and high physical strength ensure that encapsulated components remain protected against both electrical interference and mechanical stress during thermal cycling.
