Broadband Absorbers are an elastomeric or foam solution within free space applications. Typically, these products reduce reflectivity levels in interior or exterior systems such as on metal structures or within masts and antennas.

These materials provide a broad working frequency range spanning from Ultra High Frequency (UHF) to Extremely High Frequency (EHF). UHF and EHF have typical working frequencies of 300 MHz – 3 GHz and 30 GHz – 300 GHz respectively. Upon selecting between a foam or elastomer sheet, these absorbers can provide a flexible or rigid design based on the material requested.

Cavity Absorbers – Sometimes selecting the most effective absorber for the situation at hand can be hard. This can be due to standing waves being hard to detect as the multitude of waves on 1 frequency overlap making it look stagnate. This is why within enclosures a Cavity absorber is used. Whether it is a larger foam solution to reduce the unneeded radiating fields or a smaller more flexible elastomer solution. These cavity specialised microwave absorbers are built to reduce resonances within enclosures or around circuits.

Loaded or Machinable absorbers are a resin or silicone-based material, which can be machined into specific shapes such as bars, rods or plates. These magnetically loaded, microwave absorbers are designed for surface current suppressor within antenna elements.
