Permabond HM162 – Medium Viscosity Retaining Compound (50Ml)

Permabond HM162 is a medium-viscosity anaerobic retaining compound specifically designed for bonding cylindrical metal parts. It is an ideal solution for applications requiring high temperature resistance and improved fatigue life, such as securing bearings, gears, and shafts. In its uncured state, the adhesive effectively wets metal surfaces to fill surface irregularities and mated spaces.
As a high-performance anaerobic product, HM162 cures rapidly when confined between metal surfaces, forming an extremely tough and durable bond. It offers excellent resistance to chemicals and thermal stress, maintaining its structural integrity in demanding mechanical environments.
HM162 is ideal for high-temperature cylindrical assembly as it offers a maximum gap fill of 0.2mm. It reaches handling strength on mild steel in approximately 5 minutes at 23°C and achieves full strength within 24 hours, resulting in a robust, green polymer bond with a high shear strength of 30 MPa.
