Loctite TCF 1000

LOCTITE TCF 1000 is a high-performance phase-change interface solution designed for use between a variety of heat-generating components and their respective heat sinks. Supplied as a dry compound coated onto an aluminium substrate, the material transitions from a solid to a liquid state at a phase-change temperature of 60°C. Upon reaching this temperature, the compound flows to conform perfectly to the surface features of the interface, expelling trapped air and significantly reducing thermal impedance for highly efficient heat transfer.

The thixotropic rheology of the material ensures it is not sensitive to mounting orientation and will not migrate from the interface area over time. Furthermore, as a silicone-free product, it eliminates the risk of silicone contamination in sensitive electronic environments. The system is also designed for full re-workability; no foreign residue remains after disassembly, allowing a replacement pad to be installed immediately without additional cleaning. If a perfectly clean surface is required, any remaining compound can be easily removed using mineral spirits.

Ideal for DC-DC converters, solid-state relays, power transistors, and IGBT or RF components, TCF 1000 serves as a superior, mess-free alternative to traditional thermal greases. It is available in various substrate thicknesses, such as the AL and ALH versions, to match specific surface finish and flatness requirements. For high-volume production, the material can be supplied as single die-cut pads, multi-pad sheets, or continuous rolls, including options with adhesive edge strips that are positioned outside the thermal path to maintain optimal cooling performance.
