Lindsey Lodge Charity Skydive!

Cameron Finch Skydive for Charity

Everyone at HITEK would like to extend a massive congratulations to four very brave staff members @CameronFinch, Matthew, Jake and Wayne as they all completed a skydive in aid of @LindseyLodge this past Saturday! In doing so they raised very close to £3000 which is absolutely phenomenal and a great token of support for such a wonderful charity.

On top of this HITEK orchestrated a dress down and cake day this past Friday in order to help raise additional funds for the skydive and support Lindsey Lodge further. This saw us raise a fantastic total of £191.60 on the day for such a great cause!

Environmental Update

HITEK are always looking to raise the standard and quality of our workplace and environment which is why being green and environmentally friendly is so important to us!

A key method that we aim to do more of to increase this standard is to gain better control over the use of these five things:

  • Gas usage
  • Electric usage
  • Water usage
  • CO2 Emissions
  • Waste Management

HITEK is embracing this standard with a proactive approach as we endeavour to enhance our emissions and waste management. Additionally, we are committed to exploring opportunities for increased energy efficiency to optimise our expenditures.

Our efforts of being green and keeping green has seen us be accredited with an ISO 14001 certificate which further shows that we are compliant with the ISO framework for an effective environmental management system.

Health In The Workplace

Health in the workplace trophy award

Health in the workplace is extremely important to us at HITEK and is something that we take very seriously. With pride, we have achieved a gold award for health in the workplace! This award stems from HITEK working and collaborating closely with the North Lincolnshire Council over the last 12 years which has helped enhance the program within the company.

Since starting this scheme, HITEK have gained valuable access to workplace health updates from public health authorities, campaign resources and also the opportunity to participate in activity challenges within North Lincolnshire all through the local councils health and wellbeing program.

Going forward we look to carry on working with the council to further improve our safety precautions within the workplace to ensure that a gold award can always be presented and that all staff members can work in a safe and protected environment.
