Permabond POP Primer

Permabond POP Primer is a specialized surface treatment developed to enable the bonding of low surface energy plastics, such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PTFE, and silicones. Offering a water-thin, colourless liquid consistency, POP Primer is an essential solution for preparing difficult substrates prior to bonding with Permabond Cyanoacrylate adhesives.

With the ability to create durable bonds stronger than the substrate material itself, Permabond POP Primer significantly improves adhesion on fluoropolymers and polyolefins, often resulting in substrate failure rather than adhesive failure. This primer features UV-fluorescence for easy in-line inspection, ensuring consistent coverage and reliability in high-volume production environments.

POP Primer is ideal for rapid manufacturing processes as it features a fast drying time of only 30 seconds at ambient temperature, allowing treated parts to be bonded almost immediately or up to 2 hours after application.
