LOCTITE STYCAST EFF 15

Stycast EFF 15 is a specialised, one-component, epoxy syntactic foam powder designed for potting and encapsulating densely packed electronic modules.

Unlike liquid potting compounds, this free-flowing powder is engineered to infiltrate intricate geometries and fill narrow voids between closely spaced components before curing. Upon heat activation, the powder transforms into a lightweight foam that exhibits exceptionally low shrinkage, ensuring that minimal mechanical stress is transmitted to sensitive embedded components.

The material is formulated for extreme environments, offering a wide operating temperature range from -65°C to +175°C. A key safety feature of Stycast EFF 15 is its self-extinguishing capability; the material is designed to stop burning once an external flame source is removed. With a very low density of 0.24 g/cm³, it provides a lightweight protection solution that does not significantly increase the overall mass of the electronic assembly.
