Permabond ET5164 (50ml)

Permabond ET5164 is a lightly thixotropic, two-part epoxy adhesive specifically engineered to be compliant with both FDA 175.300 and EU food contact regulations 10/2011. It is primarily designed for bonding stainless steel in food contact applications, though it maintains excellent adhesion to a variety of other substrates including aluminum and other steels.
As a high-performance structural adhesive, ET5164 offers exceptional shear strength and a paste-like consistency that prevents slumping during application. Its formulation is tailored for industrial environments where hygiene standards and structural integrity are equally paramount, such as in food processing equipment or beverage dispensing systems.
ET5164 is ideal for food-grade metal assembly as it offers a convenient 1:1 mix ratio and a maximum gap fill of 2mm. It provides a generous gel time of 50–70 minutes at 23°C, reaching working strength in 8 hours at room temperature (or just 20 minutes at 60°C), and cures to a robust, off-white finish.
