Permabond Cyanoacrylate Surface Activator (CSA)

Permabond CSA (Cyanoacrylate Surface Activator) is a colourless, solvent-based activator designed to be used in conjunction with Permabond cyanoacrylate adhesives. It is an ideal solution for promoting a faster cure, extending gap-filling capabilities, and enabling the bonding of porous or difficult surfaces.

With the ability to be applied via aerosol spray, liquid wipe, or dip, Permabond CSA provides flexibility for both small-scale repairs and high-volume industrial applications. This activator is formulated to minimise attack on sensitive plastics while ensuring that excess adhesive fillets are cured quickly to reduce decorative blooming effects.

Permabond CSA is ideal for streamlining assembly processes as it offers an evaporation rate of 4.3 (relative to butyl acetate) and a low viscosity of 0.7 mPa.s. It ensures maximum bond strength is achieved by allowing the adhesive to cure fully within 24 hours at room temperature, provided surfaces are clean and grease-free before application.

Important Usage Note: Do not mix Permabond CSA directly with cyanoacrylate adhesives; it must be applied to the substrate surface or onto uncured adhesive fillets to initiate the reaction correctly.
