Cho-Fab CFT

Cho-Fab CFT is an electrically conductive fabric tape designed for applications requiring a lightweight and flexible alternative to metal foils. The tape is constructed from a nickel-plated, silver conductive material and features a single-sided, electrically conductive acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. This unique composition allows it to be highly conformable and strong without the sharp edges typical of traditional foil tapes.

The product offers excellent EMI shielding and good corrosion resistance across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 121°C. It provides an economical solution for establishing low-impedance connections between braided cable shields and metal connector back shells. Additionally, it is used to seal seams in EMI shielded rooms and enclosures to ensure electrical continuity.

The tape is available in standard roll lengths of 18 or 36 yards and various widths ranging from 0.5 to 24 inches. Typical applications include enclosure shielding, grounding, and protecting braided cables or wires. It can be supplied as rotary kiss-cut parts, die-cut parts, or slit rolls to suit specific manufacturing needs.
