Permabond A1042 – WRAS Threadlocking Adhesive (10 x 10ml)

Permabond A1042 is a rapid-curing anaerobic threadlocker specifically designed for the permanent locking and sealing of metal threaded parts. It is an ideal solution for components that may require disassembly for future maintenance, offering high vibration resistance that makes it a superior alternative to mechanical locking devices like lock washers or split pins.

The blue-colored adhesive acts as a lubricant during assembly and provides excellent chemical resistance, protecting against corrosion in hydraulic and pneumatic fittings. Similar to other high-performance Permabond anaerobic products, A134, A1042 is WRAS listed, certifying it as safe for use in contact with wholesome (potable) water.

A1042 is ideal for precision engineering and maintenance as it offers a maximum gap fill of 0.12mm and is suitable for thread sizes up to M20 (¾”). It reaches handling strength on mild steel in as little as 5 minutes and develops working strength within 30 minutes, eventually curing to a medium-strength bond with a break torque of 16 N·m.
