EDAG PF 455B E&C (1kg)
Product Description
Loctite EDAG PF 455B is a UV-curable, acrylate-based, dielectric ink engineered for high-reliability insulating applications on flexible electronics. This translucent green material is specifically designed for printing crossovers on treated and untreated polyester films (PET), where it acts as a robust barrier to prevent silver migration between conductive layers. Its primary benefits include exceptional dielectric strength and superior humidity resistance, ensuring stable performance even in moisture-rich environments.
In its uncured state, the ink is 100% solids with a viscosity of 14,000 mPa·s, formulated for precision screen printing using monofilament polyester or stainless-steel screens. For optimal crossover performance, it is recommended to apply two layers of approximately 12 to 15 µm each to reach a total thickness of 25 to 30 µm. The curing process is rapid under UV or visible light—typically requiring an energy level of 0.5 Joule/cm² per layer—which supports high-speed semi-automatic or reel-to-reel production workflows.
Once fully cured, EDAG PF 455B delivers a high breakdown voltage of >2,700 V AC at a 25 µm thickness. The resulting film is non-conductive and maintains a 5B adhesion grade, providing a durable insulating shield that remains stable during subsequent assembly steps. Its fast UV cure and excellent printability make it a critical component for manufacturing membrane switches and flexible circuits where high electrical isolation and rapid throughput are required.
