Cho-Shield 2002

CHO-SHIELD® 2002 is a three-part, copper-filled urethane coating system. It is a corrosion resistant conductive coating designed to be used on aluminum substrates with CHO-SHIELD 1091 primer. This dark pigmented version is specifically intended to minimize the effects of galvanic corrosion, even if the aluminum is scratched. The coating provides excellent chemical resistance to fluids like jet fuel and hydraulic fluids. It has a surface resistance of 0.1 ohm/square when cured for 2 hours at room temperature (21°C) or 30 minutes at 121°C. It is significantly more cost-effective than silver-filled epoxies and provides no degradation of shielding effectiveness after 500 hours of salt fog exposure.
