Permabond TA4610

Permabond TA4610 is a two-part, 1:1 mixable toughened acrylic adhesive specifically engineered for bonding low surface energy (LSE) plastics such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (HDPE/LDPE), and PTFE. It is a ground-breaking solution that requires no primer or complex surface treatments, and it is also highly effective for bonding dissimilar surfaces, including metals and composite materials.

Designed for durability in challenging environments, TA4610 features excellent water resistance and the unique ability to bond underwater. It provides high impact strength and good chemical resistance, ensuring a reliable permanent bond even when subjected to mechanical stress or environmental exposure.

TA4610 is ideal for industrial assembly involving “difficult-to-bond” plastics as it offers a maximum gap fill of 1mm and contains microparticles to assist with bond line control. It has a pot life of 5–8 minutes and reaches a handling strength of $0.3text{ N/mm²}$ in 40–50 minutes at 23°C. A full structural cure is achieved within 48 hours, resulting in a robust, off-white bond.
