Shieldex® Coaxial Cable is a sophisticated textile-based signal carrier designed to shield data transmission from external interference radiation.
This construction utilizes a high-conductivity inner conductor (Shieldex® 117/17 2ply HCB TPU) wrapped constantly by an outer conductor (Shieldex® 117/17 2ply HCB). The combination of a transparent Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) layer for insulation and a nitrile rubber (+ B) coating for mechanical durability ensures a stable environment for signal integrity. With a total yarn count of approximately 3,290 dtex, this “cable” remains flexible enough for advanced smart textile integration while maintaining the architecture of a traditional coaxial line.
Typical usage of this yarn is within the technical textile industry where measurement and signal processing are required in order to achieve DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, REACH, and RoHS compliance.
- Antibacterial: Prevents the growth and spread of bacteria.
- Antistatic: Static electricity cannot be built up and damage the effectiveness.
- Lineal resistance: The resistance of the yarn is not affected by the flow of the current.
