Cho-Shield 2001

Description

CHO-SHIELD® 2001 is a three-part, copper-filled urethane coating system designed to provide corrosion resistant conductive surface coating on aluminum or composite substrates. It offers corrosion protection for enclosure flanges that mate with EMI shielding gaskets, and can be used as a repair coating for composite substrates. CHO-SHIELD 2001 maintains its electrical and mechanical stability even at elevated temperatures and provides excellent chemical resistance to fluids like jet fuel and hydraulic fluids. The coating is applied with CHO-SHIELD 1091 primer and is significantly more cost effective than silver-filled epoxies. It has exceptional mechanical properties from -65 °C to 85 °C, and no degradation of shielding effectiveness after 500 hours of salt fog exposure.
