Description

CHOFORM® 5560 is a form-in-place (FIP) EMI shielding elastomer gasket material. It is engineered to provide the highest shielding effectiveness after long-term aging and offers reliable, long-term sealing. Featuring Ni/Al particle fillers, this material has low transfer impedance and provides the lowest amount of flange pitting due to galvanic corrosion, reducing flange pitting on all chrome-treated flanges by 20 to 50%. It is suitable for applications in marine or aerospace environments where outboard seals are needed. The material has excellent adhesion to chromate-treated aluminium and a low compression set for long-term sealing. It has a high tensile strength and elongation, which helps prevent gasket damage during handling. CHOFORM® 5560 provides consistent quality and reduced installation costs.
