ABS-HLE-SA is a polyurethane elastomeric absorber with a standard thickness of 0.5mm, made from a highly magnetically loaded and electrically non-conductive material. Capable of being optimised by its thin profile and high loss properties, the required suppression of surface currents and cavity resonances can be achieved.

This broadband microwave absorber provides a flexible and lightweight solution for improving RF stability in applications above 4 GHz. While the urethane-based version is easy to bond, the silicone version (ABS-HLSE) is specifically designed for space applications requiring low outgassing, high-power situations with higher operating temperatures, and outdoor environments due to its weather-resistant properties.

Typical applications include lowering the Q-factor in cavities, improving antenna patterns, and stabilizing microwave converters, amplifiers, and duplexers. With a hardness of 80 Shore A and a service temperature range of -40°C up to 120°C, it is frequently used to line high-frequency sensor systems, LNBs, waveguides, and RF modules in space applications.

This microwave elastomer absorber comes with a self adhesive (SA) backing.
