Shieldex® 44/10 + OA is a highly versatile silver-plated yarn offering an electrical resistance of <4kΩ/m.
This Z-twist yarn combines 99.9% pure silver with a specialized + OA ultra-thin coating, which significantly improves running properties during textile manufacturing. This makes it a perfect choice for large-scale production of garments designed for electro sensitivity, as well as antistatic carpets and curtains where high-speed processing is required.
Typical usage of this yarn is within the textiles industry where electromagnetic shielding, garment production, or antimicrobial properties are present in order to achieve DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, REACH, and RoHS compliance.
- Antibacterial: Prevents the growth and spread of bacteria.
- Antistatic: Static electricity cannot be built up and damage the effectiveness.
