On the 11th June 2026, HITEK Were in attendance for North Lindsey College’s Student Celebration awards. An event held to showcase the success of students as well as local companies who help foster learning within their staff. HITEK’s attendance at the awards was for multiple reasons. The first of which was as sponsors of the community award. The other reasons were in tie with the success of the company and our staff.

HITEK were nominated for Employer of the Year for Employability, an award to “acknowledge and celebrate an employer who has developed relationships with North Lindsey College through student work placements, T-level placements, apprenticeships, and/or employment opportunities.”

Further to this one of HITEK’s staff, Lennon, was nominated for Apprentice of the Year, an award dedicated to those who has “demonstrated sheer dedication and commitment to their studies, work placement and wider student life. They have not only excelled academically, but have consistently gone above and beyond expectations”

The first award up for HITEK was Apprentice of the year, a closely fought award that saw recognition given to Lennon for his outstanding achievement within HITEK and his student life, But alas, Lennon finished as Runner up for the award.

Although Lennon didn’t win the award on the night, his dedication to his work and his willingness to learn and develop his skill set makes him an ideal employee.

Next up, was the Employer of the Year award for Employability. Shortlisted as one of twelve companies at the ceremony, HITEK were one of the favourites to win the award. HITEK over a multitude of years has been a welcome place for apprentices and student learners, bringing them into all aspects of the business and teaching them the core skills needed to complete their roles.

After this, it was HITEK’s turn be acknowledge by the college, not just as a nominee but as the winner as HITEK won the Employer of the year award, a fantastic achievement for the company. This achievement builds off of the success of winning last years, North Lincolnshire’s Business Growth award highlighting the continual success and strengths built by the company.

To conclude on a fantastic night, we are proud of our achievements being recognised by the local community as well as the success and ethic shown by our Lennon culminating in a trophy for the company by the end of the night.
