In the first of the series, known for his dependability and drive, we feature Cameron Finch, our long-standing Business Development Manager. Here he shares a little more about his role, experiences, and what makes his journey with HITEK so unique.
Getting to Know Cameron
What’s your role at HITEK, and what do you enjoy most about it?
“I’m the Business Development Manager. I enjoy the industries we work in and the relationships we build with our customers – especially when it comes to project work.”
What’s your favourite thing about working at HITEK?
“The size of the company. We’re achieving great things, but there’s still a close-knit, collaborative feel to the team.”
What’s one thing people might not know about your role?
“It’s not all fast cars and glamour! Exhibitions, for example, require a huge amount of effort – they’re full-on and can be really draining. You have to be 100% the whole time, with little chance to unwind.”
Memorable Moments
Cameron’s time at HITEK has been packed with memorable experiences – from urgent customer support to celebrating major milestones with the team.
One standout moment was when Eastern Airways urgently needed a door seal at Humberside Airport. Without hesitation, Cameron sprang into action – driving to Chomerics to collect the gasket, visiting a BAe site for inspection, and delivering it safely to the airport, all within a single day. Over 350 miles and 8 hours later, the mission was accomplished.
Cameron also fondly recalls taking part in a charity skydive, helping to raise an incredible £3,000 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice alongside his colleagues – a true testament to HITEK’s team spirit and commitment to giving back.
Another highlight was celebrating HITEK’s 30th anniversary in Prague, a special occasion that brought the whole team together to reflect on achievements and look forward to the future.
A Few Personal Touches
Three words to describe yourself?
“Dependable, wine, pie.” (We couldn’t have put it better ourselves!)
What might surprise people about you?
“I think I’m quite open – I don’t tend to hold much back. People can sometimes assume sales roles are about keeping things close to your chest, but I believe in being transparent. Plus, my charm and youthful yet rugged good looks… but I don’t think those surprise anyone!”
What do you enjoy outside of work?
“Spending time with my family, hitting the gym, and riding my motorbike.”
