Health in the workplace

Mental Health Awareness Week

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week! We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful set of staff that have created an environment where talking to others is valued and welcomed. Our Health and Wellbeing team are always approachable and willing to spend time to talk to those that require it within the workplace!

The Mental Health Foundation have been leading mental health week since 1949 with their main goal being to bring together the UK in order to help focus on building up good mental health. Since 2001 they have led a commitment called “Movement” which is built on helping those with poor mental health to get active as it is shown that mental health can be lifted through physical activities.

Here are ways that the Mental Health Foundation are helping to make change:

  • Researching and developing new and more effective ways to support and protect good mental health.
  • Providing everyone with evidence-backed advice and resources.
  • Running national campaigns and working with local communities to nurture good mental health.
  • Partnering with organisations across the UK to take the valuable lessons we’ve learned and share solutions that are proven to work.
