Product Description
Shieldex® 117/17 + B is a high-strength conductive multifilament yarn offering an electrical resistance of < 1.5 kΩ/m.
This Z-twist yarn combines a 99.9% pure silver thread with an additional nitrile rubber (+ B) coating, which protects the silver from mechanical stress without compromising its conductive or antimicrobial performance. This makes it particularly effective for technical garments and IT applications that require durability.
Typical usage of this yarn is within the textiles industry where heating elements, sensors, or protective shielding are present in order to achieve DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, REACH, and RoHS compliance.
- Antibacterial: Prevents the growth and spread of bacteria.
- Antistatic: Static electricity cannot be built up and damage the effectiveness.
- Lineal resistance: The resistance of the yarn is not affected by the flow of the current.
