ABS-SLF-57-T

ABS-SLF is a range of broadband microwave absorbers consisting of a multilayer structure of individually tuned, graded layers. Capable of being optimised by selecting from six different thicknesses (ranging from 7mm to 120mm), the required reflectivity performance and frequency matching with the impedance of air can be achieved. ABS-SLF-57-T comes with a specialised fabric coating to allow for usage in partial outdoor situations.

This lightweight, carbon-loaded foam absorber provides a high-performance solution for free space and cavity applications, typically offering a reflectivity level of -17dB to -20dB at normal incident energy relative to a metal background. The sheets feature a controlled dielectric loading impregnated with a binder system and fire retardant additives, with the option for protective vinyl or fabric coatings for use in harsh environments.

Typical applications include lining the inside of electronic cabinets and small test boxes to reduce reflections, installation within antenna radomes to reduce crosstalk, and the reduction of radar cross-sections from masts and other metal structures. The material handles power up to 0.15 W/cm² and maintains performance in temperatures up to +90°C.
