ABS-LFE is a thin polyurethane elastomeric absorber with standard thicknesses of 0.5mm and 1mm, featuring a specific magnetic filler system developed for the lower frequency range. Capable of being optimised for use from 800 MHz up to 12 GHz, the required suppression of surface currents and cavity resonances can be achieved.

This high-loss magnetic absorber provides a flexible and easy-to-apply solution for improving RF stability and reducing reflections from metal surfaces. While the urethane-based material is easy to bond, the silicone version (ABS-LFSE) is available for high-power or space applications requiring low outgassing and resistance to higher operating temperatures.

Typical applications include the isolation of microwave waveguide cavities in amplifiers and radios, improving patch antenna patterns, and lining LNBs, converters, and oscillators. It is also extensively used for antennas and RF modules in space applications, featuring a durable hardness of 95 Shore A and a service temperature range of -40°C up to 120°C.
