Production Technician – We’re Hiring!

We currently have an opportunity for a Production Technician to join HITEK. Located in Scunthorpe, HITEK has over 40 years’ experience in fabrication and distribution, predominantly servicing the Military, Aerospace, and Defence sectors. The company is accredited to AS9100 Rev D, BS EN ISO 9001:2015, and is a recognised Continuous Improvement organisation.

This role is ideal for an adaptable individual who is capable of performing multiple functions within a production environment. An immediate start is available, and full training will be provided.

Duties

  • Draw tooling required for production using AutoCAD software
  • Create cutting files and paths for XY cutting machines using AutoCAD
  • Inspect incoming production tools to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Complete FAIR reports in line with AS9102 standards
  • Perform preventative machine maintenance and respond to machine breakdowns
  • Support the Production Lead with daily operations
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all tasks
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to maintain efficient production processes
  • Utilise software including AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Nitro Pro

Experience

Required

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Adaptable and capable of managing multiple tasks within a production environment
  • Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems and software

Nice to have

  • An interest in manufacturing, engineering, or production environments
  • Previous experience in a hands-on or technical role (not essential)
  • Familiarity with design or technical software (helpful but not required)

This position is permanent, working Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm and Friday 8:00am–3:30pm.
