As required by ISO 14001 clause 4.3.2: HITEK have a maintained Environmental Compliance Register ensuring applicable environmental legislation has been identified and adhered. To provide a record and understanding of the current environmental aspects at our Scunthorpe location and enable updating, HITEK have an Environmental Aspect register and audit checklists to allow information available to management.
HITEK has also undertaken an environmental impact assessment and have set targets to improve efficiency within the workplace. We are committed to continually reducing our energy usage and so far we have implemented LED lighting, a new energy efficient boiler, sensors have been fitted to communal areas to ensure lights are turned off when not in use and we have hybrid cars in our fleet and for these, charging stations have been installed in the company car park.
