EDAG PF 407C E&C
Product Description
Loctite EDAG PF 407C is a highly conductive, carbon-filled, thermoplastic ink specifically engineered for printing sensors, contact areas, and crossovers on flexible electronics. As a slower-drying modification of the PF 407A series, it offers an extended screen residence time, making it ideal for complex or long-duration production runs. The ink provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including polyester foils, polyimide, and solvent-sensitive materials like polycarbonate.
In its undried state, the material features a solid content of 36% and a Brookfield viscosity of 44,000 mPa·s, providing the necessary body for precise screen printing. It is compatible with both monofilament polyester and stainless-steel screens, typically applied to achieve a dry coating thickness of 6 to 10 μm. While it can be dried immediately after printing, the recommended heat-drying cycle is 15 minutes at 120°C to ensure the thermoplastic matrix is fully set and bonded to the substrate.
Once dried, EDAG PF 407C delivers consistent electrical performance with a sheet resistance of 14 to 15 Ohm/sq at a 25µm thickness. Designed for continuous operation at temperatures up to 105°C and maintains high flexibility, which is essential for membrane touch switches and flexible circuitry. Additionally, the coating is formulated for seamless compatibility with silver-based inks, allowing for the reliable construction of multi-layer circuits that require both carbon and silver conductive paths.
- Conductive
- Better Screen Residence Time over EDAG PF 407A E&C
