Stycast W 67

Stycast W-67 is a two-part, epoxy encapsulant designed for high-throughput electrical assembly applications. Supplied as two yellow liquid components, it is mixed at a 100:85 ratio by weight and features a low viscosity for efficient processing. Its excellent wetting and impregnation characteristics enable complete penetration of both small, compact coils and larger cast assemblies, making it suitable for components such as coils, transformers, chokes, and solenoids. The material cures through heat and delivers a non-conductive, high-temperature resistant encapsulation.

With an operating temperature range of –20°C to +230°C, Stycast W-67 is formulated to perform reliably in demanding thermal environments. The recommended cure schedules are 2 to 4 hours at 125°C or 1 to 2 hours at 150°C, followed by an optional post-cure at 175°C for 4 to 16 hours to achieve optimal properties.

Once cured, the material exhibits strong mechanical and electrical properties, including high dielectric strength (17.7 kV/mm), excellent volume resistivity (1×10¹⁵ ohm-cm), and robust structural integrity with flexural strength of 85 N/mm² Its Shore D hardness and balanced dielectric performance make it well-suited for insulating and protecting sensitive electrical components in industrial and high-temperature environments.
