Permabond A131

Permabond A131 is a white anaerobic threadsealant specifically designed for sealing threaded metal pipe connections. It is an ideal solution for applications involving a wide variety of gases and liquids, including potable water, as it allows for the accurate alignment of components during assembly due to its delayed cure.

With excellent chemical resistance and an instant low-pressure seal, Permabond A131 provides a reliable alternative to traditional mastics, as it does not dry out and can be disassembled using normal tools. This adhesive is both WRAS and KIWA approved, ensuring its suitability for use in plumbing and water distribution systems.

A131 is ideal for pipework and maintenance as it offers a maximum gap fill of 0.5mm and can accommodate thread sizes up to M56 (2″). It reaches handling strength on steel in approximately 45 minutes at room temperature, with full structural strength achieved within 24 hours.
