Description

CHO-SEAL® 1217 is an electrically conductive elastomer gasket designed to provide effective electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding in demanding applications. Featuring a silver-copper filler within a fluorosilicone binder, offering a balance of excellent electrical conductivity and robust chemical and thermal resistance. Exhibiting superior shielding effectiveness, with values reaching 120 dB across a broad frequency range thus ensuring reliable protection against EMI and radio frequency interference (RFI).

Thanks to its flurosilicone binding, Cho-Seal 1217 showcases excellent resistance to fuels, oils and other harsh chemicals, making it suitable for use in aerospace, military and industrial environments where exposure to such substances is common. Further to this, Cho-Seal 1217 is capable of withstanding both high and low temperatures without significant degradation. Its elastomeric nature allows it to conform to irregular surfaces, providing a reliable seal that compensates for flange misalignments and maintains electrical continuity.
