Stycast 1264
Product Description
Stycast 1264 is an optically clear, low-viscosity, epoxy system specifically engineered for laminating glass and potting sensitive electronic components. Known for curing with slight flexibility, it provides a virtually stress-free interface that protects fragile substrates from mechanical strain. This characteristic makes it the industry standard for laminating glass sheets in implosion-resistant safety shields for cathode ray tubes (CRTs) and vacuum viewing port.
Stycast 1264 is a two-component system consisting of a clear, light yellow resin and hardener. It is distinguished by its exceptionally low mixed viscosity (600 cP), which allows for effortless flow into narrow gaps and self-levelling in thin-film applications. While the material is highly transparent, users should note that some darkening may occur following prolonged exposure to sunlight or continuous temperatures exceeding 65°C.
