Product Description
Shieldex® 22/1 + 113/32 PES is a specialized twisted yarn offering an electrical resistance of < 200 Ω/cm.
This Z 300 twist yarn combines a silver-plated polyamide thread with a multifilament polyester (PES) to create a construction with very low elongation and high tenacity. This hybrid structure provides excellent performance for general static dissipation and antimicrobial clothing, where silver serves as a biocidal agent in accordance with EU Biocide Regulations.
Typical usage of this yarn is within the large-scale textile industry where antistatic carpets, technical footwear, or antimicrobial garments are present in order to achieve OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, REACH, and RoHS compliance.
- Antibacterial: Prevents the growth and spread of bacteria.
- Antistatic: Static electricity cannot be built up and damage the effectiveness.
- Lineal resistance: The resistance of the yarn is not affected by the flow of the current.
