Cho-Seal 1212

CHO-SEAL 1212 is a high-performance conductive elastomer designed for specialised electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. It is composed of silver-plated copper particles integrated into a high-quality silicone binder. This material is classified as MIL-DTL-83528 Type K and is specifically available in moulded formats. It is an ideal choice for applications requiring elite-level shielding and consistent electrical grounding.

The material demonstrates exceptional electrical performance with a maximum volume resistivity of 0.005 ohm-cm. It provides outstanding shielding effectiveness, reaching 120 dB across multiple frequencies from 100 MHz to 10 GHz. This level of protection makes it highly effective for sensitive military and aerospace electronic enclosures. The proprietary filler technology ensures these electrical properties remain stable over long-term use.

The elastomer is quite robust with a Shore A hardness of 85 and a minimum tensile strength of 400 psi. It is engineered to operate reliably in temperatures ranging from -45°C to 125°C. The material also maintains excellent resistance to compression and is fully RoHS compliant. These physical characteristics allow it to function as a durable environmental seal while maintaining a secure conductive path.
