Catalyst 24 LV

Catalyst 24LV is a high-performance amine hardener designed for potting and encapsulation applications where mechanical durability and thermal stability are paramount. Characterised by its water-white to light amber appearance, this low-viscosity curative is specifically engineered to produce a tough, impact-resistant finish. Its unique formulation provides excellent resistance to thermal shock, ensuring that encapsulated electronics remain protected even when subjected to rapid temperature fluctuations up to a continuous operating limit of 105°C.

With a viscosity of just 35 mPa·s, CAT 24LV ensures a thorough surface wet-out and effortless penetration into the intricate air gaps of complex electronic modules. The material offers a 30-minute pot life, facilitating a fast-paced and efficient assembly process. It features a versatile heat-cure profile, achieving a full cure in approximately 2 hours at 65°C, though it is also capable of curing at room temperature over 8 to 16 hours. By combining low colour with superior physical toughness, LOCTITE CAT 24LV provides a reliable, high-clarity protective barrier for a wide range of thermoset resin systems.
