Ablestik 64C
Product Description
Ablestik 64C is a specialised, non-silver, electrically conductive epoxy adhesive engineered for durability in harsh environments. While silver-filled adhesives are standard for conductivity, they are susceptible to galvanic corrosion when exposed to salt water. Ablestik 64C utilises a non-silver conductive filler, making it the primary recommendation for marine applications and electronic assemblies that must withstand sea water exposure without compromising electrical or structural integrity.
The system is a two-component epoxy consisting of a dark grey paste resin and a clear liquid amine hardener, mixed at a ratio of 100:5 by weight. It is designed for ease of application and offers a 40-minute work life at room temperature. The material is versatile in its processing, supporting a standard 24-hour room temperature cure or a faster 1-hour heat cure at 70°C. With a thermal conductivity of 1.44 W/m-K, it also aids in heat dissipation across the bonded interface.
