Cho-Foil CCK

CHO-FOIL CCK utilises a 1 oz. tinned copper foil to offer the ultimate combination of high conductivity and superior corrosion resistance. The tin plating protects the underlying copper from oxidation and galvanic corrosion, especially when in contact with dissimilar metals. This makes CCK the preferred choice for marine environments or industrial applications where the shielding tape may be exposed to high humidity or salt spray.
The CCK construction utilises a 1.6-mil (0.0406 mm) tinned copper substrate and a 1.5-mil conductive adhesive layer. The tinning process allows the tape to maintain an extremely low electrical resistance of less than 0.003 ohms/in², comparable to pure copper but with enhanced surface stability. It is available in standard roll widths up to 22.5 inches and can be supplied as custom die-cut parts for precise application around connectors or complex apertures.
In terms of performance, CCK remains flexible and conductive throughout an operating range of -40°C to 205°C. It is rated UL 94 V-0 for flame resistance and exhibits a low TML of 0.11% in NASA outgassing tests. With a peel strength of over 40 oz/in and the ability to maintain low surface resistivity even after salt fog exposure, it provides a long-lasting, high-reliability shielding solution for the most demanding environmental conditions.
