ABS-MLE is a thin polyurethane elastomeric absorber available in standard thicknesses of 1mm, as well as 0.5mm and 2mm. Capable of being optimised for an exceptionally broad frequency range from 4 GHz up to 60 GHz, the required suppression of surface currents and cavity resonances can be achieved.

This highly magnetically loaded broadband absorber provides a flexible solution for reducing reflections from metal structures and improving RF stability in high-frequency components. While the urethane-based material is easy to bond, the silicone version (ABS-MLSE) is specifically recommended for space applications requiring low outgassing, high-power environments with elevated temperatures, and outdoor applications due to its superior weather resistance.

Typical applications include lining microwave waveguide cavities, improving patch antenna patterns by reducing side lobes, and insulating LNBs, converters, and oscillators. With a hardness of 90 Shore A and a service temperature range of -40°C up to 120°C (higher for the silicone version), it is a versatile choice for stabilizing RF performance in complex antenna elements and space-grade RF modules.
