ABS-HLSE
Product Description
ABS-HLSE is a thin silicone elastomeric absorber with high loss properties, designed for the suppression of surface currents and cavity resonances in high-frequency applications. Capable of being optimised for performance above 4 GHz, the required reduction in standing waves and improvement in RF-stability can be achieved.
This non-conductive silicone absorber provides a robust solution for harsh environments, high-power applications, and space missions where low outgassing is a critical requirement. Unlike urethane alternatives, this material is impervious to outdoor weather conditions and maintains its integrity at elevated temperatures up to 170°C. The sheets are flexible, offering 50% elongation, and can be supplied with self-adhesive backing or installed using liquid silicone adhesives.
Typical applications include lowering the Q-factor in cavities, improving antenna patterns, and stabilizing high-frequency sensor systems, LNBs, and amplifiers. It is a preferred material for RF modules in space applications and outdoor microwave converters where high thermal stability and environmental resistance are mandatory.
- Frequency range: > 4GHz.
- High-performance in harsh environments: ABS-HLSE, a thin, non-conductive silicone microwave absorber, thrives in demanding conditions.
- Superior high-frequency absorption: tackles surface currents and cavity resonances effectively at higher frequencies thanks to its high-loss properties.
- User-friendly installation: choose between self-adhesive backing for convenience or a strong liquid adhesive for a permanent bond.
- Silicone advantage: ideal for harsh environments, high temperatures, and low-outgassing applications due to its durable silicone construction.
- All thicknesses are nominal.
