Product Description
ABS-LCF is a range of lightweight, open-cell (reticulated) foam microwave absorbers comprised of polyurethane foam with a conductive and lossy dielectric carbon gradient. Capable of being optimised by adjusting the thickness (typically 5, 10, 15, and 25mm), required attenuation and RF performance can be achieved.
This flat and flexible broadband absorber provides a low-cost, low-density solution for removing the threat of unwanted RF signals above 3 GHz in situations up to 90°C. Due to its reticulated structure and specific dielectric gradient, the material effectively suppresses standing waves and surface currents. For applications where reflectivity performance is critical, it can be supplied with an integrated metal backing or a protective vinyl fabric for use in harsh environments.
Typical applications include use around antenna feeds to reduce surface currents, in antenna shrouds to reduce side lobes, and as radar-absorbing blankets. It is also ideal for suppressing standing waves inside RF cabinets and reducing crosstalk between sensitive RF systems.
